Scars Are Normal

I have just recently begun watching Once Upon A Time. 

I completely spazzed out when I noticed that one of the actresses (Lana Parrilla) has a lip scar!!!!

I guess I need to explain.

I have had a scar on my lip for most of my life.

When I was a little squirt…I was a bit too curious and ended up pulling my grandmothers clock down on myself.

It broke my nose and split my lip. So now I have a funky witches’ nose, and a lip scar.

I put on some lipstick to make the scar stand out more. I usually don’t like to wear any, not because of the scar…but because its sticky, and smears all over.

They used to bother me, for awhile I considered getting my nose done. Overtime I learned to accept them both. I wouldn’t be me without them!


I am grateful to see more actors and actresses with scars.


Some others include: Tommy Flanagan, Tina Fey, Harrison Ford, Mary J. Blige, and of course Joaquin Phoenix.
