Cemetery

Rasputin and I  drove to a large historic cemetery. I took some photos of the older gravestones.

It was a bright and sunny day, and the cheery blues skies didn't quite mesh with the stoic beauty of the stones. I used various filters to age the photos.

This was one is one my favorites. Its beautiful.

  1. Great photos. I visited the Green-Wood cemetery in NYC and learned that in the 19th Century, it was the most-popular tourist attraction in all of New York. People would picnic there and frolic.

  2. Picnic in a cemetery, interesting.

There are lots of small rural cemeteries throughout this area. I want to photograph them when I have the chance.
